State superintendent Barge to visit Elite Scholars Academy

State schools superintendent John Barge will be at Elite Scholars Academy around 11:30 this morning.  The Clayton County charter school is a Georgia School of Excellence and  was recently one of 12 Georgia schools designated a 2014 Blue Ribbon School. Elite Scholars earned the blue ribbon distinction in the Exemplary High Performing School category. To earn this specific distinction, a school must be among the state's highest schools as measured by state assessments and graduation rates.
