Snow in metro Atlanta: Travel advisories in Cherokee County

Take heed, Cherokee motorists.

The Woodstock Police Department issued these travel advisories :

I-575 N at Ridgewalk Pkwy is closed down to one lane. Left lane is open only.
I-575 bridge over Towne Lake Pkwy is icy. Cars are losing traction. Avoid area.

A wintry mix of sleet, rain and snow began falling across the northern suburbs around 4 a.m. Tuesday, while snow was reported across the mountain counties. Drivers are urged to check current traffic conditions before leaving home. Read the full story and forecast.
