Snow in metro Atlanta: Icy roads near Forsyth-Dawson line

Forsyth County sheriff's deputies are responding to an accident on Heardsville Road for a vehicle that left the roadway, the agency said in a Facebook post .

"We also have icy roads confirmed on Matt Highway at Wallace Tatum and GA 400 near the Dawson County line," the sheriff's office said.

A wintry mix of sleet, rain and snow began falling across the northern suburbs around 4 a.m. Tuesday, while snow was reported across the mountain counties. Drivers are urged to check current traffic conditions before leaving home. Read the full story and forecast.
