Snow in metro Atlanta: Delta cancels more flights

Feb 26, 2015
Delta Air Lines has canceled another 100 flights Thursday.
The cancellations include early morning flights in Atlanta as well as flights in other Southeast cities hit by bad weather including Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham and southern Virginia, according to Atlanta-based Delta spokesman Morgan Durrant.
That comes after Delta canceled about 520 flights Wednesday, the vast majority of those Atlanta flights. The airport advised travelers to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
The winter storm that dumped more than a half-foot of snow across parts of north Georgia Wednesday and overnight has moved out of the state. While metro Atlanta interstates are wet but mostly ice-free, roads in far northern suburbs were still covered with ice and snow early Thursday morning. Full story.
