Snow flurries: Metro districts cancel after-school activities

A number of schools Wednesday released students early or canceled after-school activities because of the weather . At least one district announced school will be closed Thursday.

Atlanta Public Schools canceled all outdoor athletic practices and games scheduled through Thursday, district spokeswoman Mariama Tyler Jenkins said in an emailed statement.
All outdoor after-school activities in the Cobb County School District were canceled through Thursday, according to the system's official Twitter account .
Clayton County Public Schools canceled all outdoor after-school activities through Friday, district spokesman Charles White said in an email.
Pickens County Schools will be closed Thursday for students, according to the district's Facebook page . Staff members are required to report to work at 8 a.m.
