Alpharetta police pursed an alleged shoplifter in a vehicle chase on Ga. 400 earlier this month. Dash cam video was released Monday.

Police, guns drawn, arrested Dawn Marie Roberts on Oct. 15 after she finally pulled over after a mile-long pursuit, authorities said. She allegedly stole nearly $600 in groceries from the Publix on Haynes Bridge Road and hit a loss-prevention officer with her car during her escape, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The store detective said Roberts backed up and hit her and then took off, the news station reported.

Roberts is charged with aggravated assault, fleeing and eluding and theft of over $500.
