Wondering about all the police activity Wednesday afternoon near the Lenox MARTA station?

Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon said a person believed to be involved in a robbery at the SunTrust bank at 740 West Peachtree St. "was on foot around the Lenox Mall area. Possibly the MARTA station."

MARTA spokeswoman Saba Long said service was temporarily interrupted at the MARTA station while Atlanta police searched for the person.

"They held the train to see if the individual was on the train," she said. "A person of interest was on a southbound train and APD took custody of them at Lindbergh. Nothing happened on MARTA. MARTA police assisted in the search."

Service is back to normal, Long said.
