Keep your eye on North Henry County.

It's experiencing a major boost in development. The Airport Chamber recently included the area in its airport community which should help attract more businesses. Given its proximity to Fort Gillem, Porsche's new facility and Hartsfield-Jackson airport Henry County Commissioner Bruce Holmes said "I'm anticipating we will also be included inside the Atlanta Aerotropolis Radius soon."  The area has gotten the greenlight from Henry commissioners to finance infrastructure projects: sewer to Anvil Block Rd, widening of West Panola Road through the Henry medical campus to I-675, widening of Anvil Block Rd to I-675/Fort Gillem and the redesign of the Anvil Block/ Fairview Rd intersection combining both roads into a single route.  This new route will serve as a connector bypass to HWY 155 for those traveling both north and south to avoid I-75 congestion through Henry County, Holmes said.  Meanwhile, development continues on the Fairview Medical Campus. Its master plan calls for two medical office buildings, an ambulatory surgical center and an urgent care center in the medically-underserved area.
