Portions of two Midtown roads have reopened after a construction crew hit a 2-inch gas line .

Penn Avenue between 6th and 8th streets and Argonne Avenue between 7th and 10th streets were temporarily closed, Atlanta Fire Rescue Department spokeswoman Janet Ward said.

Just before 4 p.m., the roads were reopened.
