Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead outside a DeKalb County apartment Friday.

According to Channel 2 Action News, someone came up to a car outside the Waterford Manor apartment complex on Covington Highway and tried to rob the man. An argument followed, and the shooter fired into the car, police told the news station.

The man was shot multiple times.

The shooter remains at large.

Police have not released the victim's name or the motive for the shooting.
