A Grayson man has been charged in connection with a Tuesday night crash that killed a 68-year-old woman.

Police believe Telly Savalas Brannon caused the crash by making an improper left turn.

According to Gwinnett County police Cpl. Deon Washington,  Loganville resident Susan Jenkins was driving east on U.S. 78 Tuesday night when, just after 7 p.m., Brannon turned in front of her at Brushy Drive. Their vehicles collided, and Jenkins, 68, later died at the hospital.

Brannon, 40, was charged with failure to maintain lane and second-degree vehicular homicide, a misdemeanor. He was booked into the Gwinnett County jail late Tuesday and released several hours later on $3,600 bond.
