Three Forest Park council members have called for a special-called meeting today at 5 p.m. to address what they say is an illegal veto by the mayor regarding the council's efforts to fire the city manager. On Monday, the council voted 3-2 to fire city manager Frank Brandon but Mayor David Lockhart vetoed the decision - even though the city's attorneys said he could not do so. Brandon remains at work.
