A man has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide after a deadly four-vehicle crash Tuesday night on I-285 East in Sandy Springs.

About 9 p.m., Vlad Hriscan was driving a Honda Accord near Riverside Drive that rear-ended a Nissan Altima driven by 31-year-old April Solis, police said. The impact in the right travel lane forced Solis' car into the path of a tractor-trailer.

The truck hit the driver’s side of the Nissan, killing Solis, police said.

A fourth vehicle, a Dodge Challenger, hit the tractor-trailer after it had collided with the Nissan, according to police.

In addition to vehicular homicide, Hriscan, 25, was charged with following too closely, police said.

Further details were not released.
