Bobby Cartwright is Clayton County Mayor of the Year

Lovejoy Mayor Bobby Cartwright has been named Clayton County Municipal Association's Mayor of the Year for 2014.

Cartwright was recognized for being instrumental in the completion of the Local Option Sales Tax negotiations, the upcoming SPLOST, his support of public transit and his many years of service to Clayton County. He was also recognized for his innovative approach to service, implementing the Lovejoy City Garden which has served hundreds of county residents and others for the last few years. He is the first Lovejoy mayor to actively participate in the CCMA since its creation. Cartwright has been president of the association since January. He has been Lovejoy mayor since 2012 and a councilman since 2001.
