Four people have died after a small plane crashed Friday morning at I-285 at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

According to Channel 2 Action News, the fire was extinguished, but there was very little wreckage left. Traffic was shut down in both directions.

The plane, according to Channel 2, left from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport and had problems climbing out.

The pilot reportedly said, “We’re going down.”

Chamblee and Doraville police are on the scene.

An Atlanta Journal-Constitution photographer is headed to the scene.
