Run the Jewels recently chatted with Rick Rubin for his “Broken Record” music podcast to discuss their upcoming album, which Rubin produced.

Atlanta’s Killer Mike and partner El-P recorded “RTJ4” at Rubin’s Shangri-La recording studio and, during the podcast discussion, Killer Mike mentions a song on the upcoming album that contains an incorrect Outkast reference. “But it’s DOPE,” he said, “and I do not want it changed because it’s so dope!”

Killer Mike also shares that he doesn’t think rapper Shawty Lo receives enough credit (“He underwrote a genre of music”) and feels the same about Gucci Mane (“He really has propelled a lot of careers”).

About 10 minutes of the podcast focuses on the history of Atlanta hip-hop, according to Killer Mike.
