Kevin "Bull" Jones has stepped down as head coach at Mount Zion in Jonesboro after six seasons. He cited family reasons. Mount Zion was 3-7 in 2019 in a season highlighted by an upset of eventual Region 4-AAAAAA champion Stephenson. "Being the smallest school in 6A for the last four years was brutal in itself, but the Stephenson win this year brought a smile to the situation," Jones said. "But that was until my momma got sick, and that really put life in perspective for me for sure now." Jones was the defensive coordinator on Lovejoy's 2011 and 2012 state runners-up.
