Kameron Wilson, a senior linebacker at Mount Zion in Jonesboro, is the GHSF Daily State Player of the Week for his performance in his team's 14-9 victory over seventh-ranked Stephenson in a Class AAAAAA game. The award, sponsored by AstroTurf and Sports Turf, will be presented to Wilson this week at Mount Zion.

Wilson had 11 tackles, four for losses, two sacks and two QB hurries. The upset victory marked Mount Zion's first win over a ranked opponent since 2008. Mount Zion had lost 16 consecutive games to top-10 teams.

"Kam has been a true force," Mount Zion coach Kevin "Bull" Jones said. "Those Stephenson kids are very big and got to him a couple of times, but his motor allowed him to get the sacks. I'll stop short of saying anybody is unstoppable, but he's been a game-changer for us."
