Defending Class AAAAAA champion Collins Hill still finds itself atop the rankings despite a 3-1 loss to Brookwood last Saturday. That is the only blemish so far for the Eagles, who hammered South Effingham - a ranked team in Class AAAAA - 9-1 last Friday. Brookwood, meanwhile, held steady at No. 4 after also taking losses to Effingham County and South Effingham. Effingham County climbed to third in Class AAAAA.

Making new appearances in the top 10 are Pope at No. 10 in the highest classification, Greenbrier at No. 10 in Class AAAAA and Taylor County in the 10th spot in Class A-Public.

In Class A-Private, ELCA is out of the No. 1 position and Prince Avenue Christian is in. ELCA has been testing itself early against tough opposition and although losses have come to teams in higher classifications, they were enough to alter the rankings. Prince Avenue Christian is undefeated through two games and has not allowed a run.
