Boys:  Shiloh junior Jeremy McDuffie set Gwinnett County records in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles to lead the Generals to the Gwinnett County championship.  McDuffie's time of 14.14 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles is the best in Georgia, while his winning 300-meter hurdle time of 38.30 is fourth…  Shiloh senior Grant Swinton set a Gwinnett County record in the 200 meters with a winning time of 21.62 at the Gwinnett County Championships… Josh Ingalls, a senior at Brookwood, ran the state's fastest time in the 800 meters – 1:53.16 – to set a Gwinnett County record at the Gwinnett County Championships…  Archer senior Travis Collins set a Gwinnett County record in the 100 meters with a time of 10.64 at the Gwinnett County Championships… Grayson's 400-meter relay team set a Gwinnett County record at the Gwinnett County Championships with a time of 41.43… Freshman Rashaad Pollard of Westlake won the 100 and 200 meters at the Fulton County Championships, to lead Westlake to the team title. Pollard's 100 time of 10.58 seconds is tied for second in Georgia, and his 200 time of 21.52 is tops in the state… Junior Chuck McConville won the shot put (49 feet, 5 ¼ inches) and the discus (144 feet) to lead Union Grove to the Henry County championship.

Girls:  Brookwood freshman Mackenzie Ellison won the 800 meters in 2:19.40 to lead the Broncos to the team title at the Gwinnett County Championships… Archer's 400-meter relay team set a stadium record at Mill Creek, host site of the Gwinnett County Championships, with a time of 46.53…   The Westlake junior Kayla Stinson won the 100- and 300- meter hurdles in times of 15.16 and 44.22, respectively,  to lead the Lions to a sweep of the Fulton County Championships …  Freshman Courtney Jones of Maynard Jackson ran a personal best time of 14.73 to win the 100-meter hurdles at the Atlanta Track Classic … Senior Nyla Woods of Grady, a St. John's signee, won the shot put at the Atlanta Track Classic with a throw of 40-9 ½ … Luella's 400-meter and 1,600-meter relay teams took first to lead the Lions to the Henry County championship.  Luella won in times of 48.77 and 4:01.56, respectively.

iDareU Middle School Showcase

iDareU, the premiere football training group in the southeast, is hosting its third annual combine/camp for middle school students.

The iDareU Middle School Showcase is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., at the group’s Roswell location – 11595 King Road. Pre-registration is $50, through March 20.  The walk-up registration fee is $60.  All participants will receive a t-shirt, have their photo and all measurable listed on the iDareU website, and the top performers will receive awards at the end of the event.  Current iDareU athletes include UGA cornerback Shaq Wiggins, South Carolina safety Chaz Elder, Stanford defensive back Ronnie Harris, Georgia Tech safety Isaiah Johnson, and high school all-state performers ML King defensive back Wesley Green, running back Eric Swinney and linebacker Khari Lain of Sandy Creek, offensive tackle Dallas Warmack and linebacker Natrez Patrick of Mays, Our Lady of Mercy defensive back Christian Coleman and Creekside defensive back Cameron Jackson.
