Derrick Brown of Lanier continues to lead GHSF Daily's Player of the Year Watch. New members of the POY Watch are Grayson QB Chase Brice and AJC Super 11 DE Charles Wiley of Stockbridge.

1. DT Derrick Brown, Lanier:Brown had six tackles, three for losses, one sack and three QB hurries in a 42-0 victory over Heritage of Conyers. In seven games, Brown has 56 total tackles, 26 for losses, seven sacks, 20 QB hurries, nine pass deflections, one interception returned 30 yards for a touchdown, one blocked punt and two recovered fumbles for the No. 4 team in Class AAAAA. Brown, who is uncommitted, is the consensus No. 9 recruit in the country.

2. RB/DB Taylor Trammell, Mount Paran Christian: Trammell rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on 18 carries in a 44-21 victory over Christian Heritage. For the season, Trammell has rushed for a Georgia-leading 1,580 yards on 150 carries (10.2 ypc), scored 25 touchdowns and intercepted two passes. Mount Paran (7-0) is ranked No. 1 in Class A. Trammell is committed to Georgia Tech as a baseball player.

3. QB Chase Parrish, Colquitt County:Parrish was 12-of-18 passing for 238 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-14 victory over Valdosta. For the season, Parrish is 109-of-153 (.712) for 1,675 yards and 21 touchdowns with three interceptions. Parrish is 23-0 as a starting quarterback and has thrown at least one TD pass in 22 of 23 starts. Colquitt County is 8-0 and ranked No. 1 in Class AAAAAA.

4. RB/DB Colby Wood, Jefferson:Wood rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown on five carries in a 49-0 victory over East Jackson. For the season, Wood has rushed for 1,513 yards and 21 touchdowns on 203 carries (7.5 ypc) and has caught seven passes for 108 yards and one touchdown. He has intercepted two passes, forced one fumble and made 22 tackles, two behind the line of scrimmage. Jefferson (8-0) is ranked No. 3 in AAA.

5. QB Trevor Lawrence, Cartersville:Lawrence was 17-of-25 passing for 353 yards and a season-high five touchdowns in a 58-13 victory over Northwest Whitfield. For the season, Lawrence is 118-of-180 (.656) for 1,822 yards and 22 touchdowns with three interceptions for a 7-0 team that is ranked No. 1 in Class AAAA. Lawrence is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 quarterback prospect in the country among sophomores. He is uncommitted.

6. LB Tre Lamar, Roswell:Lamar had seven tackles in a 49-3 victory over Pope. He played only three plays in the second half. In seven games, Lamar has 91 tackles, 16 behind the line of scrimmage, three sacks and a blocked punt for an undefeated team ranked No. 3 in Class AAAAAA. Lamar, who is committed to Clemson, is the first AJC Super 11 player in Roswell history. He is rated the No. 8 inside linebacker prospect nationally by 247Sports' composite rankings.

7. QB Kaelan Riley, Calhoun:Riley's team did not play last week. On the season, Riley is 73-of-111 passing (.658) for 1,207 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has rushed for 342 yards and six touchdowns on 51 carries. Calhoun is 7-0 and ranked No. 1 in Class AAA. Riley is committed to Mercer.

8. DT Antwuan Jackson, Cedar Grove:Jackson had four tackles, two for losses, despite facing several triple teams in a 35-8 victory over Towers. On the season, Jackson has 41 tackles, a DeKalb County-leading 24 stops for losses, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and six sacks for a 6-1 team ranked No. 4 in Class AAA. Jackson, an AJC Super 11 pick, is rated the consensus No. 7 senior prospect in Georgia and No. 56 player nationally.

9. QB Chase Brice, Grayson: Brice was 8-of-16 passing for 201 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-2 victory over Central Gwinnett that put Grayson one victory from clinching Region 8-AAAAAA. Brice is the consensus No. 11 pro-style quarterback prospect nationally among juniors and reportedly favors Clemson and Michigan State.

10. DE Charles Wiley, Stockbridge: Wiley had five tackles, 4.5 behind the line, and two sacks in a 48-27 victory over Ola. On the season, Wiley has 12 sacks. Other statistics are incomplete. Wiley is rated the consensus No. 17 weakside defensive end prospect nationally. He is committed to Ole Miss.
