How the game was won: St. Pius trailed 14-7 after the first quarter but ran off 38 consecutive points to overwhelm visiting Arabia Mountain. The Golden Lions racked up 351 rushing yards and four different runners scored a total of five touchdowns on the ground. Arabia Mountain was doomed by 18 penalties that cost the team 135 yards.

Top performers: St. Pius quarterback Reed Egan kept the ball 14 times for 99 yards and two touchdowns. He completed all four of his pass attempts for an additional 88 yards and connected with Brennan Garrison on a 29-yard scoring strike. ... Lawson Cooper added 111 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries for the Golden Lions, who also got scoring runs by Grant Holloman and Nkem Njoku. ... Emmanuel Moton tried to get the Rams back in the game by accounting for touchdowns via both the rush and the pass in the fourth quarter.
