How the game was won: The Longhorns leaned on their defense to shake a slow start and score 31 unanswered points. Tahj Tolbert tossed two early interceptions that put Lanier in an early hole.

Top Performers: Marcko Baity scored on a 24-yard run at the 5:57 mark of the second quarter to bring the Horns within 10-7. …Baity scored his second touchdown of the game with 8:53 to play in the third quarter to give Lanier its first lead of the game. …Salem started out hot, scoring on a flea-flicker touchdown pass to Robby Cyrus.
