How the game was won: Defense was the story of the night and was capped off by Lanier's 5-star recruit Derrick Brown's 30-yard pick six off a deflected pass. Marcko Baity and Marcella Baity scored first half touchdown runs and that would be enough scoring for the night for the Longhorns. Loganville cut the lead to 14-6 in the fourth quarter, but Brown's interception iced the game. Lanier moves to 5-0 while Loganville drops their first contest of the season.
Top Performers: Derrick Brown finished the game with eight tackles, four tackles for loss and a sack to go with his 30-yard interception return touchdown… Marcella Baity finished with 114 yards on 24 carries while Marko Baity tallied 18 carries for 71 yards… Loganville quarterback Cameron Perkins finished the game 19-of-41 passing for 109 yards and one touchdown… Shy Kim led the Loganville receiving corps with seven catches for 29 yards and a touchdown.
