The A-5A girls lacrosse championship game between Kell and Blessed Trinity will be played Wednesday, 7 p.m. at Walton, a GHSA official confirmed to the AJC on Monday.
The championship game was originally scheduled to be played Saturday, 2 p.m. at Lakewood Stadium, but was postponed due to the field's unplayable conditions. According to an AJC.com report published on Saturday, the field was not properly lined and one of the nets had fastening issues.
Wednesday's game is a rematch of last year's A-5A title game, which Blessed Trinity won for its first title in program history. Kell is seeking its third title in four seasons after winning back-to-back A-5A titles in 2014 and 2015.
Blessed Trinity (18-3) is ranked No. 1 in the AJC A-5A poll, while Kell (12-9) is No. 8.
