He was only 5-of-17 passing, but GAC played tough against the reigning Class 5A champion of Colorado. Kyler McMichael rushed for 99 yards on 21 carries. Next: Friday vs. St. Pius (0-3)

Last week: Lost to Thomson 38-10. Pace struggled to handle Thomson's run game, which put up 438 yards. Thomson is ranked No. 2 in AAAA. Pace's 10-game winning streak ended. Next: Friday vs. Stone Mountain (1-2)

*3. (3) Cedar Grove (2-1)

Last week: Beat Columbia 40-0. Cedar Grove led 14-0 before running its first offensive play and had 274 yards in total offense on just 30 snaps. DB/WR Korey Hernandez (committed to Arkansas) returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone, caught a 29-yard TD pass and returned an interception 29 yards to the Columbia 15.
