GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Jason Roquemore, Johnson (Gainesville)

1. Who is/was the most influential person in your coaching career? "Scott Jones. His work ethic is contagious. I have met very few that have a motor like him. He does an amazing job of 'coaching coaches.' He probably doesn't realize the impact he has made on me, but our program here at Johnson has a bunch of 'Big Daddy Red Bone' in it." [Jones is the current coach at North Paulding and formerly head coach at South Cobb and Kennesaw Mountain.]

2. Who is the best Georgia player you ever faced? "Jay Finch [of Kennesaw Mountain and later Georgia Tech]. Good luck blocking him for four quarters."

3. What is the best team you ever faced as a coach? "2007 North Cobb team. Even the water boys were athletic." [North Cobb was 10-0 and ranked No. 1 but was upset in the first round of the Class AAAAA playoffs by Peachtree Ridge.]

4. If you were Gary Phillips, the new head of the GHSA, what would be the first rule that you would try to change? "I wish at the high school level we could block a little more aggressively on the perimeter. It would be nice if our rules were a little more consistent with the college-level rules. Of course, this is coming from a 'veer' guy."
