GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Steven Simpson, Georgia Military

1. Who is/was the most influential person in your coaching career? "Bruce Lane was the most influential person in my career as a player and coach. He taught me the importance of discipline and attention to detail." [Lane was Simpson's high school coach at John Milledge Academy in Milledgeville.]

2. Who is the best Georgia player you ever faced? "Dwight Dasher, Charlton County, '06. He was blessed with speed and agility. He was also surrounded with much talent and size, making it difficult to focus on him alone."

3. What is the best team you ever faced as a coach? "2006 Charlton County. They had several D-I players, and they lined up in several unique formations that stressed the defense." [Simpson was Dublin's linebackers coach in 2006.]

4. If you were Gary Phillips, the new head of the GHSA, what would be the first rule that you would try to change? "I would like to change the Georgia Dome games back to the semifinals. I think it creates a better atmosphere to play for a championship in your home stadium."
