GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.
Sean Calhoun, Carrollton
1. What is the most memorable game you've been a part of as a player or coach? "As a player in high school, my junior and senior year at Berkmar when we beat the Parkview Panthers back to back years [1998-99]. As a college player, my senior year [2004] at Valdosta State University we are playing Albany State in the [Division II] quarterfinals and we were down 24-0 at the half. Came back and won 38-24 [and went on to win the national title]. As a high school coach, the 2014 state championship game vs. Archer when I was at Colquitt County. It was the due date for our third child, and we won the game!"
2. Which high school coach would you want your son to play for, and why? "Myself or Bill Belichick."
3. What is your pet peeve as a coach or favorite saying/motto? "Favorite saying: 'First and foremost, I have to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.' Pet Peeve: Gloves are to be worn on your hands, not your facemask."
4. Which GHSA policy or high school football rule would you most like to see changed? "College hashes and every stadium must have play clocks."
