Rabun County and Union County are playing tonight in Blairsville for the lead in Region 8-AA. The schools have won only three region titles combined. "It is very exciting in the mountains right now," Union County coach Brian Allison told GHSF Daily. "You are right these games do not happen every year in Union County." What was the last school from a county on Georgia's northern border that reached a state championship game? Bonus points for naming the only three schools on the northern border to win state titles. (Answer Monday)

Answer to Thursday's question: Clarke Central is the school with the best record (39-1) while ranked No. 1, among those that have played at least 20 games with the top ranking. The team's head coach through those 40 games was Billy Henderson. Clarke Central's only loss while ranked No. 1 came against LaGrange in the 1983 quarterfinals.
