How the game was won: McEachern got three touchdown passes from Bailey Hockman and led 30-0 at the half at Kennesaw Mountain.
Top performers: Hockman found Carlton Bates for two TD passes and Brandon Smith for one, and Quay Holmes rushed for two scores. Indians backup quarterback Malik Evans ran for a touchdown in the third quarter. The McEachern defense got the game's first points on a safety.
Woodstock 35, Lassiter 23
How the game was won: Lassiter pulled to within five points, 28-23, in the fourth quarter with a touchdown and failed two-point conversion attempt, but visiting Woodstock responded with a Liam Byrne touchdown pass to Noah Frith with under three minutes to play. The score was just 10-7 at halftime before a high-scoring second half.
Top performers: Byrne threw for five touchdowns, three to Frith, one to Ryan Rauscher and one to Louis Hall. Rauscher had a key catch on the final touchdown drive for a first down. The Wolverines defense got interceptions from Cole McBay, Austin Bennett and Logan Cox, with Cox's and McBay's picks leading to scores and Bennett's stopping a Lassiter drive deep in Woodstock territory.
Harrison 54, South Cobb 0
How the game was won: The host Hoyas jumped to a 28-0 lead in the opening quarter before posting their largest margin of victory since 2007's 54-0 win over Murray County. Junior quarterback Justin Fields tossed two of his three touchdown passes in the opening frame and Darius Clark ran in the first of his two touchdowns to give the Hoyas their 7-0 lead.
Top performers: Fields finished with 174 passing yards and three touchdowns. Steven Peterson caught two touchdowns and Marquis Alston caught a first quarter touchdown and ran in a touchdown that put Harrison up 41-0. Harrison Frost tossed a touchdown pass to sophomore Micah Davis for the game's final score. CJ Turner ran in 4-yard touchdown in the first quarter and Darius Clark finished with two rushing touchdowns.
Allatoona 42, Sprayberry 10
How the game was won: Allatoona jumped out to a quick 14-0 advantage, led 14-3 after the first quarter and then reeled off 28 unanswered points to overwhelm host Sprayberry. The Yellow Jackets finally scored a touchdown later in the third quarter, but they could get no closer as both teams were held scoreless throughout the fourth.
Top performers: Tate Tatum and Adrian Boyd both contributed two rushing touchdowns for Allatoona. Tatum scored on a pair of quarterback keepers from one yard out, while Boyd put the Buccaneers ahead 28-3 in the second quarter and delivered an 11-yard touchdown run to account for the final margin. Allatoona also got a 1-yard scoring plunge by Charles Anderson and a fumble recovery in the endzone courtesy of Parker Gibbs.
