MACON — Ja’Queze Kirby, a 6-foot-6 senior wing for the Jeff Davis Yellow Jackets, won the GHSA’s first-ever slam dunk contest on championship Saturday at the Macon Centreplex.

Kirby beat Alcovy's Oliver Gerard and Chapel Hill's Micah Bell to claim the title. The three became eligible for the contest through online voting.
