How the game was won: Laperion Perry gave LaGrange its first lead with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Askew with 5:44 left in the opening quarter before the Grangers piled on two more touchdowns to grow a 21-0 lead. Perry ran in a 52 yard touchdown for the second score and Askew hit Mike Hardy for a 63-yard touchdown with under a minute left in the first quarter. LaGrange added an 18-yard touchdown pass from Perry to Dereiko Smith in the second quarter before Carver finally had an answer to its 28-0 deficit. Jawon Pass connected with Jaquaze Gaines for a 17-yard touchdown pass to cut it to 28-7. The Carver defense forced a 3-and-out on the next possession and Kobe Hatcher recovered a blocked punt on fourth down for a Tigers touchdown to make it 28-14. Pass closed out the half with a 39-yard touchdown run to make it 28-21. Pass tied the game with a 46-yard touchdown pass to Gerald Reid before LaGrange stopped Carver's run of 28 straight points with a 2-yard touchdown pass from Perry to Askew with 3:48 left in the third to take a 35-28 lead. Pass ran in a Carver touchdown to cut it to 35-34 with 11:34 left in the final quarter and the Tigers rolled the dice and got a successful two-point conversion to take a 36-35 lead. Perry answered once again, with a 52-yard run just a minute later and gave the Grangers a 42-36 edge. Pass found Cunningham for a 63-yard touchdown pass to swing the lead back to Carver's favor (43-42) with under nine minutes to play. LaGrange used a Perry pitch back to Askew, who threw a 60-yard score to Dereiko Smith and a successful two-point conversion made it 50-43. Carver answered with a touchdown to cut it to 50-49 and gambled once again with a two-point conversion. Pass ran it the game-winning conversion and gave Carver a 51-50 lead with 2:52. LaGrange attempted a last minute field goal, but misses.
