How the game was won: Cartersville rallied to score 20 fourth quarter points after trailing 17-14 early in the fourth. Tiamon Pennymon scored three of his four touchdowns in the final frame, one coming off of a pick-six with 4:11 left to give Cartersville a 27-17 lead.

Top performers: Tiamon Pennymon ran for touchdowns of five and four yards, he scored on a 16-yard screen pass from Trevor Lawrence after a Hurricanes' fumble recovery and he also added an interception return in the fourth quarter. …Lawrence chipped in a 7-yard touchdown run in addition to his scoring pass. …Jai Erwin scored twice on the ground for North Cobb. He capped off an 11-play, 80-yard first quarter drive with a 26-yard touchdown run. Erwin would score again early in the fourth on a 2-yard run. …Will Lovett tossed a 70-yard touchdown with 3:50 remaining in the fourth to cut the Cartersville lead to 27-24. …Lovett threw his second touchdown of the night, a 3-yard strike, with 10 seconds left to Trey Coryell.
