Carrollton coach Ed Dudley retired last week after 30 years of coaching, the past 24 as a head coach, with previous stops at Buford, Walton and Ware County.

Dudley's career record is 193-87. He went to the semifinals twice with Walton (2004, 2007) and had a Class AAAAA runner-up team with Ware County (2012). Dudley was 10-12 in two seasons at Carrollton, where he had been an assistant from 1988 to 1991 before getting his first head-coaching job at Buford.
