Three games between ranked teams highlight tonight’s slate in Class AAAA:

No. 8 Walnut Grove at No. 5 Eagle’s Landing, Friday: Two teams chasing No. 1 Jonesboro in rugged Region 4-AAAA collide at Eagle’s Landing tonight. The Warriors picked up a big road win over Eastside on Tuesday, overcoming a 34-point performance from Eagles’ junior guard Isaiah Miller. The senior guard tandem of Al Jones and Faizon Jackson lead Walnut Grove (17-1, 4-0), which has won 13 straight games. Eagle’s Landing (16-1, 8-1) has won 11 straight, led by senior guard Jordan Lewis. The Eagles are coming off a 95-45 blowout of Hampton on Tuesday.

No. 9 Redan at No. 3 Lithonia, Friday: Redan’s Tyronn Stuckey scored nine points in the final minute of the Raiders’ 68-66 overtime win over Stone Mountain on Tuesday. Redan (11-5, 6-5) will need another big game from Stuckey to keep up with Lithonia (13-4, 10-1), which clobbered the Raiders 78-56 on Dec. 1.

No. 2 Grady at No. 4 St. Pius, Friday: The host Golden Lions (14-2, 9-2) will try to avenge an earlier loss to surprising Grady in a Region 6-AAAA battle of top-5 teams. The Knights (16-1, 11-0) nipped St. Pius 51-50 on Dec. 1 and have yet to lose to a state team. St. Pius enters the game having won eight in a row.

Girls

Arabia Mountain at No. 2 Marist, Friday: The host War Eagles (16-2, 11-0)are in command of Region 6-AAAA and have won their last four games by average of 35.5 points. Senior Dominique Oden leads the War Eagles in points (22.4), rebounds (8.0) and assists (3.4) per game. She is shooting 68 percent from the floor.  The Rams (12-4, 8-3) are led by sophomore guard Marisa Mills (11.3 points per game).
