Boys highlights
- On March 5, Allatoona posted an impressive 8-7 overtime win over McCallie School (Chattanooga, Tenn.), which was the southeast region's No. 5 team at the time, according to Inside Lacrosse. On the season, the Buccaneers are led by Danny Tessler, Carson Sorrells and Trevor Stuart. Tessler has won 77-percent of faceoffs, Sorrells has 11 goals and 7 assists and Stuart has 11 goals.
- Also on March 5, Centennial beat West Forsyth 22-13, with sophomore Colin Hall scoring a career-high 7 goals. Freshman Ryan Siracusa (3 goals, 4 assists), senior and Rutgers commit Matt Chase (4 goals, 3 assists) junior Luke Sadd (4 goals, 2 assists, 17-for-20 faceoffs, 10 ground balls), and junior Eric Cecere (13 saves) also aided the victory.
Girls highlights
- West Forsyth picked up a pair of wins last week, defeating Pinecrest Academy 24-14, and South Forsyth 17-7. Madison Mueller had 9 goals and 1 assist in each game, and Sarah Grady had 11 goals, 11 ground balls and forced 15 turnovers between the two games.
- Milton defeated Walton 14-9 on March 10 in a rematch of last year's AAAAAA championship. Milton was led by senior Jessi Masinko (5 goals, 2 assists, 4 draw controls), junior Sophie Baez (3 goals, 2 assists) Emily Velez (2 goals, 1 assist) and junior Jen Shield (2 goals).
- Lassiter notched a pair of wins over Roswell (13-4) and Chattahoochee (16-15, OT) on March 3 and 8, respectively. Through the team's first five games, Lassiter is led by Emma Grace Wisdom (12 goals) and Hannah Forbes (11 goals) and Rachael Rankin (6 goals, 7 assists).
