5 things for Georgia Tech fans to know Friday

1. One of the top prospects in the state will be making an official visit to Georgia Tech later in April , an indication that coach Josh Pastner is in the fight for a potentially difference-making signee. Pastner also likely has interest in two productive brothers who played for him at Memphis that are transferring .

2. Tech also has an official visit lined up this weekend with an under-the-radar prospec t.

3. Forward Christian Matthews will be transferring from Tech at the end of the semester.

4. In spring practice, defensive coordinator Ted Roof has a major priority in developing defensive tackles who can be ready to produce this fall (myajc).

5. Tech baseball coach Danny Hall, whose team plays a three-game series starting Friday at Notre Dame, is hopeful for the remainder of the season after a 4-8 start in ACC play .
