CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Kaitlyn Johnson isn’t the only singer in the family.

At the ACC Kickoff Friday, Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson crooned some country music for an ACC video, showing a little bit of the chops that he has evidently passed on to his daughter, an accomplished opera singer.

Johnson sang a couple lines from the George Jones’ hit song “He Stopped Loving Her Today” as part of a bit recorded by ACC cameras. Johnson, as other coaches and players have been, was asked to pull a brick out of a Zenga tower. Each wooden piece has an instruction written on it, and Johnson’s said “Sing your favorite song.”

After joking that he wouldn’t be doing it, he burst into song to the enthusiastic approval of his audience.
