Some notes from Wallace Wade Stadium, where a light rain is falling before the game.

  1. Defensive end Rod Rook-Chungong is dressed, but not working with the first- or second-string defenses in pre-game drills. Antonio Simmons likely will be making his first career start. We'll see if either Tyler Stargel or Anree Saint-Amour get significant snaps today. Kyle Cerge-Henderson (first-year freshman) is dressed, but likely in an emergency role.
  2. Harland Howell is dressed at wide receiver, Christian Philpott is not here. A-back Mikell Lands-Davis is dressed, but not sure if he'll play.
  3. The rain could play a factor; there were heavy rains last night, too. The field looks like it's in good shape. I'm guessing the crowd won't be a factor.
