Traffic alert: I-75 North lanes blocked by overturned dump truck

An overturned dump truck and its load of dirt have blocked several lanes of I-75 Northbound, north of exit 265/North Marietta Parkway.

Tons of dirt spilled onto the roadway around 3 p.m., according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Crews are working to assess the damage and remove the vehicle and spillage. However, an estimated time of clearance has yet to be determined.

GDOT is urging motorists to seek alternate routes and avoid traveling in the area.
