Fifteen people were killed in traffic accidents across the state during the long Memorial Day weekend, the Georgia State Patrol reported Tuesday. The GSP report said three people were killed in accidents in metro Atlanta: in Cumming, Marietta and College Park. The toll of 15 compares to 16 fatalities reported by the State Patrol for the Memorial Day weekend in 2014. The period covered was 78 hours, from 6 p.m. Friday through midnight Monday.
