Atlanta traffic: I-20, I-75 will see several weekend lane closings

Sept 25, 2015Here is the latest information on lane closings, and possible traffic delays, this weekend in metro Atlanta, according to the Georgia DOT.
I-285
- Two northbound lanes will close between Cascade Road and SR 280/South Cobb Drive and two southbound lanes will close between the I-85 interchange and the I-20 interchange from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
I-75
- The Express Lanes Project will require one northbound and one southbound lane closure between SR 5/SR 5 Spur and Wade Green Road from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday.
- One lane and the off-ramps will close southbound at SR 120 Loop/North Marietta Parkway from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday for work on the Express Lanes Project.
- One northbound lane will close between SR 120 Loop/South Marietta Parkway and SR 5/SR 5 Spur from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Work on the South Metro Express Lanes will require up to two lane closures northbound between SR 155/McDonough Road to SR 138/Stockbridge Highway from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for Mount Carmel Bridge demolition.
I-575
- The Express Lanes project will require one southbound lane to close at Bells Ferry Road from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday and from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
I-85
- Crews will stripe the northbound and southbound on and off ramps between SR 139/ Riverdale Road and Cleveland Avenue nightly from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. No ramps will close at any time.
I-20
- Two eastbound and two westbound lanes and the on and off ramps will on close on at Lee Road from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Sunday.
- One lane will close westbound at Fairburn Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for guardrail repairs.
- Two eastbound lanes will close between the I-285 interchange and SR 139/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and two westbound lanes will close between
- SR 139/Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to SR 280/H.E. Holmes — both from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
- Two eastbound lanes will close between Almon Road and SR 12/US 278 continuously from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
State highways and surface streets
- On Ga. 400, one northbound and one southbound lane will close at Northridge Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday for striping.
- One northbound and one southbound lane will close on Ga. 400 between Sidney Marcus Boulevard and Lenox Road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
- The northbound and southbound lanes of Buford Highway will close between Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road and Westbrook Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday.
- One lane will close on Old Alabama Road between Buice Road and SR 141/Medlock Bridge Road from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for utility work.
- On Candler Road, one northbound and one southbound lane will close between McAfee Road and Daws Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
- On SR 9/ North Main Street in Alpharetta, one lane will close between Canton Street and Winthrope Chase Drive from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for paving.
- The Express Lanes project will require a traffic detour at Barrett Parkway. Traffic exiting Barrett Parkway will be detoured onto I-75 southbound from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday.
- The Express Lanes Project will require another detour at Cobb Parkway. Traffic exiting at Cobb Parkway will be detoured back on to I-75 southbound from 9 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday.
- Two lanes will close on SR 9/Peachtree Road between Pharr Road and Buckhead Avenue from 7:30 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday.
- On SR 154/ Memorial Drive, one lane will close from Moreland Avenue to Wilkinson Drive and one lane will close on SR 154/ Memorial Drive from
- East Lake Drive to Candler Road. Both closures are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
