Kanye West's visit to Trump Tower today was quick and cordial, with both the recording artist and President-elect Donald Trump characterizing it as a pleasant catch-up between friends.
Kanye didn't say much as reporters caught up with him at what's essentially become the pre-White House North, but later revealed why he went:

Kanye also recently canceled the remaining 21 dates of his Saint Pablo Tour, which was to include a Dec. 8 show at Philips Arena. He played a sold-out show at Philips in September and then added an encore date in October.
Trump hasn't yet tweeted about Tuesday's brief encounter with Kanye.
