The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta is doing something new this year. Usually the organization holds the annual Mistletoe Market at the Cobb Civic Center, but the facility is under renovation at the moment. So this year's festivities move to the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel and Conference Center at 500 Powder Springs St. in Marietta, just around the corner from the Marietta Square.

Things kick off at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 with the Gingerbread Gala, featuring dinner, music, a silent auction and a gingerbread house competition. Tickets are $50 each. Want to enter your gingerbread house into the competition? Tickets are only $40 for competitors.

Breakfast with Santa will be from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 14 at the Conference Center. (The early date should give you plenty of time to get your children’s photo taken in time for Christmas cards.) Tickets for the breakfast event are $10, and children 3 and younger are free. The event features a light breakfast, crafts and activities along with viewing of the gingerbread houses and of course some quality time with the man in red.

Entry forms for the competition and tickets for both the gala and breakfast are available online at jlcm.org.

The League maintains the spirit of the Mistletoe Market with “Mistletoe to Go,” where you can order holiday decor including wreaths, bows, garland, door swags, poinsettias and mistletoe, of course. Get your order in by Nov. 13. Pickup dates will be Dec. 3-5, with times and locations being announced soon.
