BET plans a new miniseries about Bobby Brown

R&B singer Bobby Brown opened his life to reality-show cameras back in the day as the star of "Being Bobby Brown." He'll now be the subject of a future BET miniseries, "The Bobby Brown Story."

Brown, father of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown and ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston, will be the focus of what BET is billing as an "epic" miniseries. The four-hour series to be aired over two nights doesn't have a run date yet.

He has been judicious in picking projects since the death of his daughter, appearing on 20/20 and releasing a book about his life but otherwise keeping sort of a low public profile.
