Goalkeeper Brad Guzan, 7: He had a scoreless streak of 366 minutes coming into the game and that streak is now at 456 minutes after he needed to make just two saves. ... Distribution was solid.

Right fullback Franco Escobar, 6.5: Yellow card in the 13th minute for waving as he ran away from referee Baldomero Toledo after receiving a warning. It was an immature decision and action. ... Completed 60 percent of his passes and led team with three tackles.

Centerback Leandro Gonzalez Pirez, 7: He and Pogba combined to neutralize Fredy Montero, who was held to no shots.

Centerback Flo Pogba, 7.5: Making his first start in MLS, he made some nice vertical passes early, completing 92 percent in the game. ... Wasn't beaten over the top and used his body well.

Left fullback Brek Shea, 8: Making his return to Vancouver, for which he played in 2017 and '18, he was named man of the match with three chances created, one shot and one tackle.

Defensive midfielder Jeff Larentowicz, 7: He and Eric Remedi controlled the midfield without the ball. ... Event took two shots.

Defensive midfielder Eric Remedi, 7: He filled the Darlington Nagbe role by turning defense into offense. ... Completed more than 85 percent of his passes.

Wide midfielder Hector Villalba, 6: If he could control his speed. ... Missed a chance to make it 2-0 in the 59th minute when in one-on-one he put his shot right into goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau's chest. ...

Wide midfielder Justin Meram, 6: Making his first start with Atlanta United after being acquired in a trade with Columbus last week, he looked and played like someone who is learning his teammate's movements. ... Not a bad opening with three shots, none on goal.

Attacking midfielder Pity Martinez, 6.5: Won the penalty kick that led to the opening goal. ... Finished with two shots, one on goal.

Striker Josef Martinez, 7.5: Scored the opening goal in the 29th minute for his team-leading fifth goal. ... Finished with five shots, two on goal, and created four chances as he continues to become a play-making striker.
