The Falcons sent a deep contingent, including general manager Thomas Dimitroff, to Maryland to check out Towson State running back Terrance West and cornerback Jordan Love on Sunday.

In 2013, West scored at least one touchdown in all 16 games for the Tigers. He also ran for more than 100 yards 12 times and had four 200-plus-yard games.

West, who is 5-foot-9, 225 pounds, is the seventh rated running back by NFLDraftScout.com. He’s projected to be selected in the third round.

Love is a former Georgia transfer, who's the 55th rated cornerback and is not projected to be drafted.

West rushed for a FCS record 2,509 rushing yards last season. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds at the NFL combine. He also had 16 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. He had a vertical jump of 33 ½ inches and 10 foot broad jump.
