Ex-Falcons Wilkerson named Bears' asst. offensive line coach

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Ben Wilkerson, the former LSU standout who played for the Falcons 2007-08, was named the Chicago Bears' assistant offensive line coach on Wednesday.

Wilkerson, a Rimington Award winner, was the top center prospect for the NFL before he suffered a gruesome against Vanderbilt on Oct. 30, 2004.

He played in 32 games over three NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals (2006) and Falcons.
