Falcons coach Dan Quinn said his team is focused on limiting Tampa Bay's big plays on Sunday.
"The explosive plays that they able to create in both the run game and the pass game," Quinn said Wednesday. "Those are No. 1."
The Falcons' defense has good reason to put big plays at the top of its list of concerns. The Buccaneers converted several while scoring 54 offensive points over their past two games.
The Buccaneers have completed 22 passes at least 20 yards this season and have seven rushes of 20-plus yards. The Bucs had seven of those 29 explosive plays during the 31-30 defeat at Washington on Sunday and five during the 38-31 victory against the Jaguars.
The Falcons didn't allow the Titans any plays of 20 yards or more during Sunday's 10-7 victory. The Bucs probably present more of an offensive challenge than the Titans.
"They have really unique receivers and style that they want to play with," Quinn said. "It's the whole package in terms of what they play: down the field shots, big plays. Those are the things that jump out for us. Eliminating the explosive plays is going to be a big factor."
